My Great-great-grandfather, Seymour Knickerbocker of Pompey, NY, was a member of the 149th.  When I started to do research into the unit, I  found nothing on the Web.  Many of the other units from New York were represented, but not the 149th.

Seeing the need, I jumped in and have started this web site.   Little by little I will be adding to it.  If you have information that should be added, please send it to me.  With everyone working together, we will be able to have very detailed information about the 149th.
